Last but not least: Not at all like in a fairy tale

These «Unfairy Tales» from UNICEF are obviously not intended for children. But they were experienced by children.

To mark the launch of the global #actofhumanity initiative, Unicef is asking Syrian refugee children to talk about their experiences. For example, seven-year-old Malak, who crossed the Mediterranean in a leaky refugee boat, or 13-year-old Mustafa, who had to leave his home alone and leave even his cuddly toys behind when he fled. With its (initially harmless) "Unfairy Tales", the aid organization makes it clear that such stories are actually far too brutal for children. (sis)
