Last but not least: Subscribe to women's magazine and win a visit from a gigolo
Publishers will try just about anything to attract readers to their print publications. Gas coupons, wine, and cosmetics are among the usual incentives. Former TV matchmaker Linda de Mol has now taken the cake: Anyone who subscribes to her glossy magazine *Linda* for a year is promised a two-hour visit from a gigolo.
Linda is not just any old, unappreciated, dirty magazine. The glamorous monthly magazine has the highest circulation of its kind in the Netherlands with 210,000 copies - and is available for the equivalent of 96 francs. Just under 100 francs for twelve issues of Linda and a two-hour visit from a man - this offer seems really tempting. But before you click through to the website and order a subscription, there is a catch: in order to enjoy the gigolo visit, readers not only have to buy a subscription, they also have to state in writing why they want to take advantage of the service. This is because the number of male visits raffled off is limited: Linda is giving away a total of 25 Gigolos. An additional difficulty: the letter has to be convincing, as female applicants have to stand up to many others. There are already 50 letters in the running that have been classified as serious, as an editor revealed to the Tagesanzeiger newspaper.
