The ability to get in direct contact with your fans via social media does not only offer advantages. Even stars like Selena Gomez are not immune to online bullying. A stranger wrote to her on Twitter: "I hate when people ask me why I hate @selenagomez. Like I just do." Stars can, of course, take something like this in their stride. Jimmy Kimmel has music stars read out nasty tweets about themselves on his talk show. For once, the anonymous hostility seems pretty harmless. (sis)
