A lot of stupidity and a bit of bad luck: according to 20 Minuten, a British woman called her boss a "totally perverted wanker" on Facebook who always makes her do shitty jobs just to annoy her. She didn't seem to realize that she and her boss were "friends" on the social community - and that he was therefore able to read her statement. And so it was that the girl received the receipt just four hours later - also via Facebook. "You seem to have forgotten that you still have two weeks to go until your six-month trial period is up." She didn't need to come to work the next day, the letter of termination would arrive by post. And yes - he was deadly serious. The - admittedly somewhat crude - moral of the story: don't confirm your boss's friend request.
