Last but not least: The secret dangers of the Wii games console
While the Wii game console offers plenty of exercise and fun, it also has its little quirks.
A 14-year-old British girl who was trying to pass the time on the Wii Fit, a board for sporty balancing, experienced this painfully first-hand: she fell off the device, whose movements are transmitted to a screen, and broke her right foot in the process. Bad luck. However, this does not appear to be the only incident in connection with the popular game. One Wii patient is even said to have spilled blood into his chest after a fall. But anyone who thinks that the Wii Fit board is the only dangerous thing about the console is very much mistaken: the Wii game using the classic hand control also harbors dangers - albeit more for the connected TV set than for the player's well-being. For example, if the controller slips out of the player's hand during the simulated swing of a bowling ball, it can crash directly into the monitor after a short flight. It's all happened before. So this game is not without its risks - it is strongly recommended that you take out good liability and accident insurance before you start playing.
