Last but not least: The devil in your face
There are plenty of photos of Hans-Rudolf Merz taken during interviews. But it’s rare for a moment like the one captured by the NZZ am Sonntag photographer to be captured. Merz’s arms and hands, stretched above his head, cast a mysterious shadow across his face.
Is it coincidence or intentional? In the latest photograph in the NZZ am Sonntag, an oversized shadow obscures the face of Federal Councillor Merz. And what a shadow! Malicious tongues could claim that the shadow resembles the devil's head. The photo almost cries out for an innovative caption. But this opportunity was missed: "There were things that annoyed me incredibly". That's all the legend says. Couldn't they have been a little braver here?
