The year 2015 is drawing to a close. Time to take another look back at the most important events. How 2014 this year, we are once again using the headlines from Blick.ch.

The French Scrabble world champion, who supposedly doesn't know French...

...was actually only surpassed by the baby, who was born pregnant - with twins! - came into the world. Hopefully all four are well up.

Bullying mother cows were officially declared a national threat in 2015 (ahead of terrorism and the tiger mosquito). Here appropriately illustrated with an exuberant, curious bovine. Since Blick trained the nation in self-defense, more deadly incidents have failed to materialize. So far.

Mass event record heat: How desirable cracking a record of 38.9 degrees should really be then...

...became not quite clear at the end.

Which brings us to politics. Here, this "Danish politician" in particular was able to stand out, who simply convinced everyone. 

Does it have to be like that? Coop and KSP were able to do it with the «Chill'n'Grill»-campaign really doesn't please anyone.

The new green Coca-Cola with stevia was also polarizing. While some were pleased with the relatively low sugar content and the healthier sweetener variant, others criticized the unfamiliar taste. Still others were simply happy to finally have to "drink less". Congratulations!

Speaking of relaunches: Orange became Salt in 2015. Accompanied by a gigantic campaign - and puns that work at best in writing. Or with people who pronounce Salt like "old.

Interesting what is apparently still headline worthy in 2015: a woman with dark skin (a "black") becomes a news anchor.

Back to the really relevant topics: For example, to Mr. Fuck, who not only has a sophisticated name, but also a black Labrador.

Jörg Schneider unfortunately passed away in August. Hopefully he was able to laugh about the title "Potz Holzöpfel und Zipfelchappe!" before.

So much for cuddly justice: the police showed the dishwasher greenhorn the limits of noise pollution.

Too stupid and too small: Something has to change - however.

"No diligence, no rice" - one of the title highlights of 2015. Even if China's "swank teens" are probably not particularly keen on the poor people's food rice. Does not matter, had to bring here.

Another highlight: the "Jubel-Tubel".

The worthy successor to the bridge dork: The Trough Dork.

This pun was also overdue.

The really good titles were rare in 2015, though. This one, for example, was rather so-so...

...and this rather something miss lungs.

Then still rather this one here: Without text, but with a picture. The furious Michelle Hunziker even left Blick speechless.

The old year is drawing to a close. 2014 offered so many truly earth-shattering events that the countless reviews that will soon be unleashed on us on all channels are probably suffering from an acute lack of space and time. The poor editors who have to decide whether cruelty 1 or horror 2 deserves more space. It's easier to deal with the trivialities that the online media bombard us with on a daily basis. Since they often have a modest news value, they have to be packaged with a lot of love. Blick (Online) is particularly good at this. To 55-year anniversary of the paper a short annual review of successful puns and good titles:

"A little money is a must" - another season of Dschungelcamp definitely too. Only 30 more sleeps.

The "Underwater Alps" almost got lost in the whole aircraft search (...). We want to officially welcome them here again! May they soon be registered on our maps.

"First thunder in, then talk out" - 2014 was characterized by excavator, navigator and bridge dips.

A pun for the ages - so it becomes a minor matter that this "reality star" is probably unknown to most people. Or do you know the lady?

A fitting reason to take the historically charged saying out of mothballs once again: Kim Kardashian's inflationary discussed rear...

...dominated the media in 2014 - especially the "Hinternet". The time for this pun is certainly not getting any riper.

With his scooter faux pas, DJ Bobo opened the door for the memorable word creation "ChiAUA". Definitely the better choice than "DJ Boboli" or "René Au-Mann!".

"They stink and snap" - never before has a plague been summed up so charmingly in four words. Spot on!

The then Miss Switzerland Dominque Rinderknecht took the chance and hosted the weather for the Tele-Züri anniversary. Blick saw room for improvement in her posture - and horizontal potential in her title setting.

With the return of the Nati's success, the experts' quarrel has also subsided. The differences of opinion during the Slovenia game were well received: Zicky, who had actually been dismissed as an expert, is now allowed to spread permanent optimism as an expert again.

The "Erector" delivered a slick pun on her farewell. Blick used it ice-cold.

The title of the year: "M38 runs a wolf for a female". Hopefully, the quadruped has found his female in the meantime. And made a wide berth around the canton of Valais in the search.
