Why do women, in particular, use face cream, even though they generally have much better skin than men? Men's skin is actually exposed to harsher conditions. For example, because men ride motorcycles in all kinds of weather and enjoy standing over the grill.
Dove has been the undisputed favorite care product manufacturer of countless women for years because the clips show plump models and try to talk women out of their complexes. In short, they paint a realistic picture of beauty. Beauty that is attainable for everyone.
Dove has also developed a skincare line for men, which is a little more difficult to sell to men. The new clip is aimed at men who ride motorcycles and like to stand in front of the barbecue and takes a similarly sympathetic approach. But will men buy an entire skincare line because of it? Women have long known from other sexist advertising that you can't look fresh and, above all, age beautifully without a wide range of skincare products.
