Time for movie history
The Swiss watch manufacturer Rolex celebrates cinema, itself - and inadvertently a newly deceased person - with an Oscar commercial.

Decades of product placement pay off. In general - but also if one day you can produce a nice best-of with film clips showing who all wore your brand. Faye Dunaway, Peter Sellers, Michael Caine, Marlon Brando and Paul Newman - they all showed their Rolex to the camera in milestones in cinema history.
JWT New York collected the iconic clips for the TV commercial shown during the Oscars and put them together in an emotional retrospective. And created more topicality than was actually intended: the film also shows Bill Paxton in a scene from "Titanic". Paxton died the day before the Oscars at the age of 61. (hae)
