Like a fist on the eye
A specially designed photo booth in Berlin drew attention to domestic violence in a striking way.

It's hardly surprising that old photo booths are all the rage in hip Berlin. But it is that one in four women in Germany is a victim of domestic violence. That is undoubtedly around ten million too many. On International Women's Day, DDB Berlin, on behalf of the women's rights organization Terre des Femmes, used this alarming statistic to raise awareness in society. A photo booth was equipped with facial recognition software. This was able to recognize whether it was dealing with a woman. If so, it added traces of domestic violence to one of the four photos that were output. This not only gave the women photographed food for thought, but also all viewers of the video, which is now intended to raise awareness virally. This is also intended to raise awareness of the Hilfetelefon.de advice center. (hae)
