Wrong car? Mobile.de has the solution. And together with David Hasselhoff and the Hamburg-based agency Achtung, they’ve created a viral hit.

The latest "Knight Rider" spoof comes in true 4:3 format. And the best in a long time. It's well known that David Hasselhoff likes to laugh at himself and take his incomparable cinematic world heritage with humor. He is always up for a joke - all the more so when the request comes from his old favorite country. The country in which he has always enjoyed a particularly high level of popularity and which he reunited, as it were, single-handedly in 1989 as a singing wall-breaker.

For the German used car platform Mobile.de, Hasselhoff gets on a motorcycle. And engages in a car chase with gangsters that is in no way inferior to the iconic 80s productions. Everything is a bit slower and more leisurely, but after all, we are getting older. "Thirty-six years after the series was filmed, cars actually talk, they drive themselves, and they have artificial intelligence - all the things we came up with back then," says the former car whisperer and lifeguard, according to W&V.

36 years? Yes, we have grown old. To reassure you: The end of "Knight Rider" was "only" 33 years ago. But the series was visionary. Except for the "turbo boost," everything has actually come true. Parking on your own, talking, getting information on command, driving on your own - what seemed like a collection of fanciful fantasies in K.I.T.T. back then is now standard in many new cars. And, as we all know, development has only just begun.
