Switzerland, Sweden, whatever
They'll never learn: To celebrate Spotify's IPO, Wall Street raised the Swiss flag.

Even if the photo that Twitter user Sven Carlsson looks like a fake at first glance: it's not. You'd think that before you raise a flag in public, you'd check whether it's the right one. In the land of unlimited possibilities, this is obviously not a must. And so the confusion between Sweden and Switzerland lives on stubbornly on the other side of the Atlantic. Even if it is still a mishap that is difficult to understand. Especially in times when you can consult Google or Wikipedia at any time via smartphone.
However, the Swiss cross did not fly in the New York wind for too long. Shortly after the mishap became known, photos of the correct Swedish flag went viral on social media. Even if this initially gave rise to a suspicion of fakery: there are various photos of the Swiss flag from different perspectives. So it's not fake news. (hae)
