Petting sharks
In an episode of the BBC series «Blue Planet Live,» environmental activist and professional diver Cristina Zenato showed why sharks are trusting, cuddly creatures.
Zenato wears bite-proof equipment on her shark dives - and thus fully meets the taste of her underwater friends. The sharks let themselves be stroked by the chain gloves as if they were lapdogs. Their friendly encounters not only keep them on their Instagram profile but also demonstrated them to a BBC camera crew. The episode of the award-winning "Blue Planet" series will hopefully help to ensure that sharks are no longer perceived as monsters, but as creatures worthy of protection as soon as possible. Around 500,000 sharks are still killed worldwide every day - absurd.
