Smart pedestrian crossing
Saatchi & Saatchi has developed the smart crosswalk. It is currently being tested in London.

Common sense has never been a bad companion when crossing the road. Whether it's "Luege, lose, run" or "Bike stopped, child walking" - keen senses and attentive road users can prevent a lot of misfortune.
But all this is somehow so 2016. In 2017, pedestrian crossings are intelligent and do the thinking for humans think along with you. At least when it comes to Saatchi & Saatchi. The agency has developed "The World's First Responsive Road" for insurer Direct Line. LEDs are used to guide pedestrians and warn drivers. The pedestrian crossing then fades in when the road is open for crossing.
Perhaps we really will cross roads like this in the future. But woe betide us if the pedestrian crossing ever needs an update or crashes - we would probably have to let Siri assist us across the road to avoid crashing into the next best car. (hae)
