The Berlin-based agency Glow has conceived and produced a compelling commercial for «Innocence in Danger,» a global movement dedicated to combating child sexual abuse.

Whether out of naivety or a need for recognition, many parents disregard the privacy of their children on social media and happily post pictures of their offspring in all situations. This is not just cute, it can be dangerous.
The film by Glow calls on parents to behave in an enlightened manner online. The commercial shows a mother proudly distributing and displaying a picture of her scantily clad daughter everywhere. The reaction of passers-by ranges from confused to agitated. "The film shows that parents often do things online that they would never do in real life. Hence the appeal at the end of the film," reads a statement from the agency.
Innocence in Danger managing director Julia von Weiler is also quoted there: "According to a study, 728,000 adults have sexual online contact with children in Germany alone. Images of children can very easily fall into the wrong hands and attract potential perpetrators. They work like bait scattered around the world, attracting uninvited followers." (nod)
