Paws and notes
Do you always have to understand advertising? No—sometimes it's enough just to see a cat playing the piano.

It's about a Japanese logistics company, Yamato Transport, which has a black cat in its logo and is celebrating its 40th birthday. The cat forms the basis for the strange but fascinating commercial "Black Cat Ballad". Has she ordered something and is eagerly awaiting the package? And is she playing the chop or flea waltz to tide her over? Or is it an allusion to the YouTube videos with cats playing the piano?
The play exists all over the world under different names. In Japan it is called Neko Funjatta, which means "I stepped on the cat". The dog of understanding must be buried somewhere in there.
The basic version of the Kotelett Waltz is best known for the fact that it is played on the piano with only black keys and can therefore be learned very quickly, even by inexperienced pianists. However, the cat in the commercial plays anything but a beginner's version, but an impressive, furious variation.
Also impressive: the stylish Anniversary microsite of the company. Once again, Japan is playing in a league of its own. Both, as well as. (hae)
