Netflidlx: Lidl succeeds in Germany with Netflix parody a viral hit
How to know: Lidl kicks the entire competition in Germany in the shins - and earns applause for it.

Lidl is currently flickering its way into the hearts of YouTube viewers with a two-minute online film. A dark back room shows a secret meeting of Lidl's assembled competitors. Aldi, for example, is represented by (a double of) ex-Daimler boss Dieter Zetsche, who recently joined the discounter's advisory board. The topic: The secret of success of the unloved competitor.
The Lidl price... must have a catch, right? A meeting member makes the suggestion to infiltrate Lidl and infiltrates as a store employee - to come to the conclusion that there is no catch. A realization that is not at all in the interest of the secret organization. The undercover investigator becomes a target. And the "House of Small Money" spot becomes a parody of various Netflix series. "Mr. Robot," "House of Money," "Stranger Things," "Dark" - the allusions and parallels to the streaming provider's productions are numerous.
Much to the delight of the viewers: Three days after its launch, the clip already has over 1.3 million YouTube views and - if the comments are to be believed - is very well received by viewers.
