Hops and malt won
To celebrate its 25-year partnership with Liverpool FC, Carlsberg has grown special "victory hops" and used them to brew a beer.

Numerous experiments show that plants are not only influenced by light during growth, but also by acoustics. Membranes in plant cells react to sounds. Certain sound waves open the pores and the sounds stimulate the metabolism. The decisive factor here is the tone color. It has already been proven that plants grow better under the influence of Mozart than under the influence of heavy metal. Apparently, plants gather information about the soil conditions through the sound waves - vines, for example, react positively to music and bear larger fruit thanks to the sound (Source).
Seen in this light, the experiment created by CP+B, which Carlsberg carried out for Liverpool FC, is probably one thing above all: a marketing stunt. The red hops were filled all day with the cheers of past Liverpool highlights - and thus "charged" with the traditional club's winning gene.

The beer, which will be served at the stadium and in selected pubs on October 28 to mark the 25th anniversary of the partnership between Carlsberg and the football club, should therefore taste of pure victory. Let's hope that the club really does win the Hudderfield Town game.cheers! (hae)
