Free ride: Mini shows a deserted, borderless New York
The new Mini Countryman offers enough space to unfold. This is demonstrated by the Pereira O'Dell agency in the new campaign with soul singer Labrinth.
"Don't Fence Me In" is the title of the commercial for the song of the same name by British singer, songwriter and producer Labrinth, who can switch off so well in his Mini on the way to the studio that he has a creative flash of inspiration. And then records the result straight away.
The message: the Countryman offers as much space as people need. Freedom is symbolized by deserted New York streets, which - as becomes clear at the end - are only extinct in the perception of the relaxed driver with the powerful voice. Because he finds peace and space to unfold in his own little mini-world. Whether he still pays enough attention to the road is unfortunately not entirely clear from the commercial - let's hope so.
Incidentally, the song "Don't Fence Me In" is a US classic published in 1934, which was interpreted by greats such as Bing Crosby, Dean Martin and Ella Fitzgerald in the decades that followed. However, the latest version by Labrinth is definitely worth listening to.
