Flicker box
If you suffer from migraines, you should look away now.

4K - also known as Ultra HD (UHD) - has a resolution five times higher than the current Full HD standard, which is used on Blue Ray and occasionally by TV channels, for example. Whether we need this is questionable at the moment. In a few years' time, we will all be using 4K anyway and will regard the super-sharp resolution as normal.
In Brazil, electronics retailer Nagem is therefore promoting the new standard to encourage people to buy a new 4K-capable device. The agency Black ninja has created a campaign that shows why a higher resolution is better: you can see things that you wouldn't otherwise see.
Optical illusions have often been used in advertising. But this campaign demonstrates quite cleverly how many individual parts make the whole visible. And that a fine resolution makes details recognizable that would otherwise remain undetected.
But it does have one disadvantage: depending on your individual sensitivity, watching it can be quite unpleasant and cause your eyes to flicker. Does that make you want to watch TV at all? Perhaps it would be better to advertise a headache medication with the subjects... (hae)
