This website generates through AI people who do not exist

You could call it "creepy" - or simply fascinating. With every refresh, a website generates the face of a person who doesn't exist.

Brave New World: Thispersondoesnotexist.com generates a new person at the click of a mouse that looks like the real thing. But is not real. Every time the page is refreshed, a new face is created. Artificial intelligence and deep learning make it possible. According to Inverse.com is a project by Philip Wang, software engineer at Uber. He wants to use it to demonstrate the possibilities of Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), a type of AI algorithm - and raise public awareness. This won't have to be done often and consistently enough in the future. Because the technology is now (or already is) so advanced that it can create something out of nothing that appears "real" to us at first glance. Faces, for example. Fascinating, but frightening.
