This is (almost) only available in Berlin

A fan of the Hertha Berlin soccer club can get a lifetime season ticket tattooed on their body.

"The season ticket of a lifetime" - tattooed by Berlin tattoo studio Love is Pain. This means free entry to the Berlin Olympic Stadium for the home games of the Bundesliga club Hertha forever. The unusual motif that awaits the lucky recipient not only shows the stadium's famous towers, but also a QR code that replaces the ticket.

Interested fans had until February 8 to apply and convince those responsible with photos, videos or other creative ideas as to why they should be the chosen ones.

The deadline has expired. It remains to be seen who has won. As early as February 6, according to Facebook "several hundred" applications were received.

The only question that remains is whether the QR code access will work for the rest of the chosen one's life. Or can the tattoo be technically retrofitted if necessary?

The campaign has certainly attracted a lot of media attention - daily newspapers and online portals from all over the world have reported on the pore-deep fan love.

However, the idea is not entirely new. Last September, the Hype agency had the same idea for the St. Gallen cultural venue Kugl (Werbewoche.ch reported). Whether the Berliners were inspired by this is questionable - but at least possible. (hae)
