To the point
English architect Thomas Heatherwick transformed a complex of former grain silos into the spaces for the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA), which opened on Friday. M&C Saatchi has developed a corporate design that complements this extraordinary building.

Transforming 42 grain silos into a museum for contemporary African art "was one of the greatest challenges of my career," says architect Heatherwick. The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA), or "Zeitz MOCAA" for short, should not be just any museum, but should be mentioned in the same breath as the greats such as the MOMA, the Tate Modern, the Prado and the Centre Pompidou, if the brains behind the Mamut project have their way.
The project was initiated by former Puma boss Jochen Zeitz, who is making his extensive collection of contemporary African art available to the museum as the centerpiece and will act as co-director and "curator at large".
For this mega project at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, M&C Saatchi has designed a convertible CD that picks up on the circular layout of the former silos. Intelligent, coherent and beautiful because it is simple. Zeitz MOCAA is certainly noted as a destination. (nod)
