Wirz: Ovo fans celebrate 20 years of Crunchy Cream

To mark its 20th anniversary, Wirz launched a campaign for Ovomaltine that was a little out of the ordinary: posters designed by die-hard Ovo fans themselves.

It all started with a sandwich and a pinch of creativity. Ovo fans once sprinkled their sandwiches with Ovomaltine powder - an ingenious idea that did not go unnoticed by those responsible at Ovomaltine and, after extensive tinkering, led to the market launch of Ovo Crunchy Cream in 2005. Twenty years later, one thing is certain: without the community, the product would probably not exist in this form. And that is precisely why the Ovomaltine team has involved the fans again for the anniversary. After all, if they invented Ovo Crunchy Cream themselves, why shouldn't they also design the campaign for it?

To this end, Wirz and Ovomaltine called on people to apply for a creative workshop and help develop the campaign. Over 2,500 people responded to this call and sent in their applications. Of these, five were selected to travel to the Ovo factory in Neuenegg, where they experienced live how Ovomaltine is produced and developed a unique campaign together with the Ovomaltine and Wirz team.

Five posters were created in the workshop - from the initial idea to the creative headline and design - all created by the five Ovo fans themselves. The project was accompanied by short social spots in which influencer Salome Artho acted as moderator, providing insights into the process and documenting the creation of the posters.

The five posters are now hanging all over Switzerland and celebrate 20 years of Ovo Crunchy Cream in the most authentic way possible. And are helping to win over new Ovo Crunchy Cream fans.
