This is how the police corps of eastern Switzerland and Forb whet people's appetites for the profession

Police departments in Eastern Switzerland are launching a new campaign in collaboration with the Forb agency to show that people from a wide variety of professional backgrounds are well-suited to training to become police officers.

The police corps of Eastern Switzerland want to inspire potential applicants for the demanding police profession with a new communication campaign. The subjects show a policewoman and a policeman who can use their personal strengths and the experience gained from a previous job in their current profession in the police.

Online and on social media

The campaign will be seen in eastern Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein on online platforms and social media. A landing page (werdepolizistin.ch / werdepolizist.ch) provides information about the requirements for the police profession, the application process and dates of local information evenings. The campaign of the Ostpol police concordat of eastern Switzerland was realized by the St.Gallen city police, together with the St.Gallen communications agency Forb.

The versatile strengths of the employees are central for the police corps. In addition to valuable experience from previous jobs, the requirements of police officers include qualities such as teamwork, honesty, reliability and communication skills, as well as physical fitness. The ultimate goal of the police is to act with a high degree of responsibility in the field in order to make proportionate decisions even in extreme situations.
