Smurf invasion at the start of spring at Zurich Stadelhofen
The new Smurfs movie hits theaters in April. Sony Pictures, in collaboration with Serviceplan Public Relations, launched a blue promotional campaign and set up 500 Smurfs.

Spring is here - at least astronomically speaking. And it has also arrived in Smurf Village: On the occasion of this joyful news, Sony Pictures placed 500 blue, 20cm high Smurf figures made of vinyl at Zurich's Stadelhofen yesterday. A mainly blue, but still colorful picture of Smurfs, flowers and blossoms presented itself to passers-by and commuters from early in the morning into the evening, which led to countless photos and social media posts, according to the release.

Among the standard Smurfs were also two "extraordinary" Smurf versions. These were originally neutral white Smurf figurines, which were painted by the former Swiss freestyle skier Mirjam "Mimi" Jäger and blogger Nives Arrigoni. Background of the action: The two special Smurfs will be auctioned for a good cause. The proceeds will be donated to the Children's Hospital in Zurich. Christa Rigozzi will also contribute a personal Smurf.

With the campaign at Zurich's Stadelhofen, which was created in cooperation with Serviceplan Public Relations Suisse, Sony Pictures drew attention to the film "The Smurfs - The Lost Village" - it opens in German-speaking Swiss cinemas on April 6. (hae/pd)
