Ruf Lanz continues TIR campaign against animal cruelty
Ruf Lanz is continuing its trash bag campaign for the Tier im Recht Foundation with new designs.

Tier im Recht (TIR) has been fighting for animal-friendly laws and their consistent enforcement for over 20 years. During this time, much progress has been made for the welfare of animals. For example, since 2003 animals are no longer things in Swiss law, and their dignity has been explicitly protected by the Animal Protection Act since 2008.
Nevertheless, countless animals in Switzerland still suffer under conditions that violate the law, and many animal welfare offenses are not investigated and punished.
That's why Ruf Lanz, on behalf of TIR, launched a stirring awareness campaign in the fall of 2016 with the slogan: "As long as some animals are treated like garbage, we're needed." Impressively visualized with images of a dog, a cat and a rabbit that resemble garbage bags (Werbewoche.ch reported).
According to Gieri Bolliger, Executive Director of Tier im Recht, the campaign "caused a great stir and triggered valuable debates around animal welfare - online and offline. In addition, it was taken up very extensively in the media." In addition, the campaign received several awards from the professional world: including Gold from ADC Switzerland and the "Poster of the Year" at the Swiss Poster Award (Werbewoche.ch reported).
Due to the great success, TIR decided to continue the campaign with new subjects: with horse, sheep and pike. The focus of the follow-up campaign is thus on animals that often suffer silently, so to speak, without being noticed by the environment. This applies to many farm and wild animals, such as sheep and fish, which largely lack the mimic or vocal means to draw attention to their pain and suffering. The Hefenhofen case in late summer 2017 has shown in a depressing way that horses in Switzerland are also subjected to the greatest torment.

For the implementation of the elaborate campaign, the creatives of Ruf Lanz were again able to win Carioca Studio in Bucharest. As with the first series, all images were created entirely on the computer.
The continuation of the TIR campaign will be seen immediately on advertisements, posters, postcards and in various online applications.
