Ruf Lanz for BFU and Allianz: Be careful on your e-bike

Anyone who rides an e-bike too fast risks a serious accident. The BFU and Allianz are reminding people of this with a new prevention campaign by Ruf Lanz.

E-bikes have been experiencing a boom in Switzerland for some years now. Unfortunately, this has also led to an increase in the number of accidents. Last year, there were 595 serious injuries and 16 fatalities. Almost 60 percent of serious e-bike accidents are self-inflicted - often because the rider loses control of the e-bike. This is because you travel faster on an e-bike than on a conventional bike. As a result, the braking distance is unusually long. And there is less time to react to the unexpected.

In order to reduce the number of serious e-bike accidents, the BFU and Allianz are joining forces and launching a joint prevention campaign. "Don't get the last out of your e-bike" is the motto of the campaign, which is intended to symbolize that the road is not a racetrack without pointing a finger: using the example of jockeys on e-bikes.

Two motifs on more than 8,000 posters

The campaign is being rolled out with two motifs that are present online and offline in all parts of the country: on more than 8,000 F4 billboards along the roads throughout Switzerland as well as on social and owned media. As a national competence center, the BFU works together with organizations, associations, clubs and companies from all over Switzerland. The new campaign was made possible thanks to financial support from Allianz.
