Rosarot dives into the Book Circle from Orell Füssli with Mama_Chakra_1
Orell Füssli's online community "Book Circle" went live for everyone on World Book Day. The project was realized together with the Zurich agency Rosarot, which was responsible for everything from the naming and teaser phase to the design of the visual appearance and the launch campaign.
To coincide with World Book Day on April 23, the gates to the community have now been opened to everyone (Werbewoche.ch reported). This was preceded by a beta phase in which Orell Füssli's Premium Card customers were invited to test and optimize the platform and also to determine the final name via a three-stage mailing from Rosarot in the autumn. To this end, the agency developed several name suggestions, three of which were presented at the end.
The choice fell on Book Circle, a circle for all reading fans that includes everyone who is fascinated by books and stories. Accordingly, the logo developed by Rosarot also picks up on the idea of community. Circular in shape, it symbolizes the connection between books and people and uses an animation to symbolize an active, lively community. The branding of the new brand and a visual identity were designed on this basis, which also defines the look and design of Bookcircle.ch.
Mimi_Krimi whets the appetite for the community
To publicize Book Circle, Rosarot designed and created a social media and banner campaign that conveys the community's central idea of exchanging ideas and supporting each other. At the center of the communication are characters with typical online nicknames who express their very own - and perhaps somewhat peculiar - concerns. For example, Mimi_Krimi, who is looking for a crime novel that won't put her to sleep, or the tough GangstaLady_26, who is secretly into schmaltzy romance novels and is glad that she has now found a place in the community where she can freely exchange ideas with like-minded people. Or Gandalf_32, who is a huge fantasy fan, but until now only had his cat and his girlfriend as uninterested listeners and can now finally exchange ideas with people who like to listen to him in the community.
Online community also brought to life in the stores
Even after the launch, the new community will continue to evolve. New functions and options will be added according to the wishes and needs of the members in order to create the perfect place for all book fans. The community will also play a role in Orell Füssli bookshops and the online and offline worlds will increasingly merge. In future, much-discussed books and reading tips from the community can be found on display in the stores and there are plans for authors to meet the community at the POS. Rosarot also created the POS material for the launch of Book Circle, which can be seen in the stores as posters and flyers.
