Publicis launches discussion on prostitution for Zurich Women's Center
Prostitution is a topic of debate in many European countries—but not yet in Switzerland. The Zurich Women’s Center has now sparked the discussion with a viral video.

"Although prostitution is regulated here," says Andrea Gisler, President of the Zurich Women's Center, "the whole system of prostitution in Switzerland is hardly questioned." Together with its long-standing in-house agency Publicis, the Women's Center has now put the issue on the agenda. While developing the idea, the creative team discovered that Sweden has punished clients since July 1, 1998. "Sweden is a country that has always been way ahead of us when it comes to women's issues," says CD Johannes Raggio, "but at the same time, Sweden and Switzerland are always confused."
In the recently released film, some Swedes wonder why the two countries are repeatedly confused, even though they are very different - especially when it comes to women's issues. The film was launched shortly before the 20th anniversary of the punishment of prostitutes in Sweden and is currently being shared almost by the minute on social media.
The film was made in collaboration with the Swedish filmmaker Julia Lindström.
