Looking to the future with Aroma in the SBB Sandbox
Start-ups and young companies can have their unfinished product ideas tested in the SBB Sandbox at Zurich main station. The eye-catcher was realized by Aroma and designed together with Creaholic and SBB.

The SBB Sandbox gives courageous digital creators the opportunity to put their products, which are not yet ready for the market, through their paces in the form of prototypes. With this step, SBB is also showing courage by deliberately moving away from the established corporate design in an unusual color concept to take up the theme "love it" (keep it up), "change it" (there is still some improvement to be made), "leave it" (the world has not been waiting for this). In collaboration with Aroma, a space for experimentation was created that generated a lively exchange and many interactions already on the first day.
The SBB Sandbox, designed by Aroma together with Creaholic SA and SBB, combines various materials supported by a scaffolding structure. In yellow and pink, the sandbox was already an eye-catcher when it was set up and the most popular photo subject in the main station. The structural specifications for temporary installations in the station and the requirements for the materiality presented the project manager of Aroma with a few tricky challenges.
The SBB Sandbox is part of the "My Smart Station Zürich HB" project, which aims to further enhance the customer experience and the quality of stay at the station. Rate the SBB Sandbox and help to achieve the goal: By April 2019, Zurich Central Station is to become the most digital and personal station in the world.
