Lidl continues to advertise with Chrigu Stucki - even after the end of his career

Following his successful career, Swiss wrestling champion Christian Stucki has already found a new professional challenge: He now steps in wherever he’s needed at Lidl Switzerland—that’s the storyline of the latest Lidl Switzerland campaign by Komet.

Chrigu is not the type who can just sit around at home and do nothing after his career ends. So he applied to Lidl Switzerland as a "jumper king" and now stands in wherever someone is needed. Public favorite Chrigu Stucki has been a brand ambassador for Lidl Switzerland since 2010, and this collaboration was only recently extended beyond the end of his career.

Now the next fruits of this long-standing collaboration are on display: In the retailer's latest campaign, which is set to run for several years, Chrigu humorously showcases the numerous benefits of Lidl Switzerland and surprises with plenty of acting talent. The storyline of the campaign by the Bernese advertising agency Komet: Christian Stucki becomes "From wrestler king to jumper king" at Lidl Switzerland.

"Jumper king" lends a hand

An emblem of the same name adorns all the campaign's advertising material and is intended to ensure recognition. As the "king of jumpers," Chrigu - down-to-earth as he is - is not above lending a hand: he restocks the shelves, helps out at the checkout or checks the freshness of the vegetables. In this way, he - and with him the viewers - get to know other facets of Lidl Switzerland's commitment to consumers, employees and the environment.

At the same time, this is also intended to show that lateral entrants are also welcome as employees at Lidl Switzerland. The campaign starts with what most end with, namely a so-called blooper spot, i.e. a funny compilation of outtakes. This is followed by a classic trailer as well as static subjects for publicity and ten longer and shorter TV, online and social spots in the further course of the campaign. And of course, this will also be discovered at the more than 170 Lidl sales outlets in Switzerland. So we can look forward to it.
