On September 3, 2017, the Allianz Cinema Day will take place for the second time. In over 230 cinemas in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, you can watch all films for only five francs per ticket on this Sunday. On behalf of ProCinema, the umbrella organization of Swiss cinema and film distribution companies, FCB Zurich is responsible for promoting the event.

FCB Zurich has developed a series of creative online and offline measures for this purpose. The highlight is the game app Kung Fu Karaoke. Instead of singing, in this competition you have to set a fight scene to music with your own battle cries. It's a challenge that lasts just under 30 seconds and is a challenge for both the tongue and the laughing muscles.

Depending on how well the player shouts into the microphone in slick kung-fu mandarin, he will either receive the dubious honor of the title "Vocal Tape of Death", or even achieve the rank of "Fist of Falsetto". The game is not only fun, but you can also win a sensational prize: Whoever achieves the highest score will win a year of free cinema for himself and three friends. To do this, the player must film himself in action and publish the video in the app's gallery. There, numerous videos from participants already make people smile. The funny fight scream videos are actively shared by the players on social media.

"Nowhere is a film more involving than in the cinema. The moviegoer is right in the middle of it and feels like a part of the film. This unique cinema experience brings Kung Fu Karaoke to life in a fun way and invites you to the Allianz Day of Cinema," explains Flavio Meroni, Creative Director at FCB Zurich.

The 360° promotion of the app with an in-house produced film, cinema posters, ad screens, cinema flyers, online displays and various social media posts also includes media relations and the influencer concept, for which FCB Zurich is also responsible. BMX pro Chris Böhm, rapper Nemo and other stars of the core target group shared the video of their kung fu karaoke fight on their social channels. 20 Minuten reported prominently on the staged fight between model Tamy Glauser and ex-Miss Switzerland Dominique Rinderknecht. TeleZüri, Cineman, Radio Energy, Radio Fiume Ticino, Tio.ch and several online portals have also already reported on the app.

Kung Fu Karaoke can be found in the App Store and with Google Play.
