No looking into the crystal ball
The second film produced by the Karling agency for Similasan eye care products marks the launch of a new product line. The Jonen-based company is the first Swiss provider to offer dietary supplements that protect against the dangers of blue light.

The products Similasan Protect Capsules and Protect Junior Gummies contain natural lutein, which conveniently protects the cells in the eye from blue light.
Karling's idea dramatizes the risks in a humorous way. It deliberately avoids scaremongering or a cautionary style - despite the serious subject matter. After all, anyone who regularly uses smartphones, laptops or tablets for years on end to take in a lot of short-wave blue light can cause massive damage to the retina. As the disease progresses, vision in the center becomes blurred until all you can see is a dark spot. No wonder, then, that even a fortune teller can no longer see anything when looking into a crystal ball.
The commercial has been running on a dozen TV stations for a few days now. It was shot in Switzerland with the film production company Goodmeat and Arun Tamm as director.
