IWC Schaffhausen and Scholz & Friends celebrate the "Silver Spitfire
IWC dedicates a watch collection to the record flight of two pilots in a restored Spitfire. Scholz & Friends is launching a launch film, produced by Who's McQueen Zurich.
In August 2019, the two pilots Steve Boultbee-Brooks and Matt Jones set off on a record-breaking flight around the world in a restored Spitfire from 1943. The luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen is accompanying the "Longest Flight" as a partner and is dedicating a new watch collection to the pilots and the Spitfire aircraft.
In an epic launch film with large and intense images, Scholz & Friends stages the restoration and maiden flight of the aircraft at the Boultbee Flight Academy in southern England and the prototype construction of the new Spitfire watch collection in Schaffhausen.
"We tell the story of man & machine and the perfect interplay from which great things can emerge," explains Robert Krause, Managing Director Creation Scholz & Friends Berlin. "We paid particular attention to the cinematic staging. The flight scenes were shot "in camera" - completely without CGI," adds Jörg Waschescio, Creative Director at Scholz & Friends.
The film celebrated its premiere last week at the Geneva Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie SIHH.
