Content and form brings calm to the Christmas rush for Aldi
In many places, Christmas stress spreads during the Advent season. Aldi Suisse wants to show that this doesn't have to be the case - especially since you can find everything you need for a perfect Christmas with friends and family in its stores - without any hustle and bustle or stress.
While others are showing off with big Christmas fireworks, the Swiss retailer wants to take a more relaxed approach this year and brings pleasant calm to the hectic advertising block with three deliberately unspectacular spots. But not without providing for a brief moment a pleasant feeling of contemplative Christmas time. Thus, music was completely dispensed with and the sound level was reduced to the original sound. The result is an audible calm in the sound design, which, together with a soothing storyline, provides for pleasant relaxation and an almost meditative effect for a pleasant deceleration in the commercial break.
The spots, created by the agency Inhalt und Form, have been in use off- and online since November 15.
