Field hockey Cyborgs Davos
In HC Davos's new season campaign, FCB Zurich visualized the team's powerful style of play and portrayed the players as machines.

The background to the idea: Arno del Curto is known for his offensive speed field hockey. His players play fast, hard and perform almost superhumanly with every effort.
A separate motif was created for each home game. The biggest challenge was developing the various cyborgs, as creative director Marcin Baba explains: "Every little detail, from the shape to the individual elements to the texture, had to be defined in advance and then built on the computer. And this even twice: once for the field players and once for the goalies."
After the sample cyborgs were completed, they were moved into the various field hockey poses. At the same time, the heads of the HCD players were photographed. Each player was illuminated and staged to match his pose, in order to give the machines a face and thus convey the corresponding feelings.
The final and crucial step was then the image processing as Marcin Baba continues: "Here, the 3D robots, 3D ice field and 3D stadium were combined with the real images of players, mountains and sky to create the gloomy and intimidating look. Again, for a perfect result, the individual elements had to be customized for each motif."

The 25 different motifs are used as posters, ads, online banners and on the video cube in the stadium. And on the radio, the cyborgs have even been given a voice to announce the respective match.
