Helvetic Tours: AI swimming animals and a new Tiktok concept
Floaties are probably the most typical symbol of seaside vacations. Helvetic Tours is making these "floaties" the stars of its latest campaign. At the same time, there are travel adventures on Tiktok.
Helvetic Tours - the little sister of the traditional Kuoni brand that specializes in seaside vacations - launched its latest marketing campaign in May, which focuses on colourful swimming animals and other floaties. The creative creations, which were created using artificial intelligence (AI), are intended to draw attention to Helvetic Tours' beach vacation offer: Floaties modeled on elephants advertise Thailand, crabs and cappuccino cups for the Mediterranean or Zeus for Greece.
The aim is to appeal to a broad target group, such as young families, friends and couples. "The objective is to highlight the USPs of Helvetic Tours in an innovative and distinctive way, namely our expertise in worldwide beach vacations at an attractive price," says Andre Plöger, Chief Marketing Officer of Dertour Suisse.
The multilingual 360-degree advertising campaign will mainly be seen on various online platforms, including YouTube and other social media channels, but also in daily newspapers and, from fall 2024, on television. Other components of the campaign include newsletters, digital signage and other point-of-sales materials in the 70 or so Kuoni travel agencies and on (digital) out-of-home
Areas in selected Swiss cities.
New concept on Tiktok
Parallel to the campaign, a new concept has been launched on Helvetic Tours' TikTok channel: Every Friday, Emelie Oschewsky (Travel Consultant at Kuoni St. Gallen) and Jan Gross (Marketing Coordinator Dertour Suisse) reveal an adventurous travel anecdote from the community and react to it spontaneously. In addition to the 2 to 5-minute videos, the stories can be found as podcasts on all streaming platforms.
