Kind regards with militant campaign for solifund

Solifonds has been engaged in international solidarity work for 40 years—and is celebrating this milestone with a fundraising campaign titled “Friendly Greetings,” which is intended to reflect the organization’s combative spirit.

The Solifonds supports political movements in the Global South. Grassroots organizations in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe approach the Solifund on a case-by-case basis when problems arise in relation to land rights, women's rights, trade union rights, democracy or state or para-state criminality. Support from the Solifonds is exclusively monetary and therefore requires numerous donations, especially since the Solifonds does not receive any government funding.

For the Solifonds, solidarity does not mean charity, but rather a common struggle for global justice and a political bond that goes hand in hand with it. Every donation makes a difference. Accordingly, the agency Freundliche Grüsse not only developed the appropriate claim "For social liberation struggles", but also created a campaign to reflect the militant character of the organization.

The raised fist as a symbol of the social liberation struggle forms with its silhouette the frame for original photos of Solifonds actions. Scenes from demonstrations for labor rights of domestic workers in Togo, for the right to unionize of mine workers in Peru and against state repression in Turkey were chosen for the subjects. The campaign has been on display across Switzerland since May 1 and includes posters, ads, social ads, postcards and giveaways.
