Foundry and Swiss whet Londoners' appetite for Swiss mountains
At the Ski & Snowboard Festival held in London from October 25–27, 2019, Foundry and Swiss set up two flight simulators featuring Birdly technology. More than 16,000 visitors were able to experience the combination of virtual reality, 3D audio, robotics, and simulation technology.

Because Londoners are usually used to flatlands, the airline and the agency wanted to bring the Swiss mountains to the British metropolis to whet the appetite for winter (sports) travel.
With their arms stretched wide, Londoners had the opportunity to fly like a bird through the Swiss Alpine landscape. Some saw a helicopter, others a hot air balloon and still others a Swiss Airbus A320 fly by.
Giveaways and a raffle were also available: Swiss chocolate, winter hats, key chains and 25-pound vouchers for the next trip to Switzerland or one of the more than 100 other destinations worldwide.
"The festival was a complete success for Swiss. With this unique appearance, we not only underlined the attractiveness of Switzerland as a winter sports destination, we were able to position ourselves as the perfect partner to escape the English winter," says Ellena Brandstätter, Marketing Communication Campaigns Swiss.
