Ferris Bühler Communications produces destination videos for Edelweiss

For its client Edelweiss, Ferris Bühler Communications relies on storytelling through moving images. To market the vacation destinations offered by the vacation airline, the agency organizes press trips during which content is also produced on location—and, starting this year, with a new video concept.

From snowy Norway and the green islands of the Azores to the lively cities of Colombia, the cultural diversity of the Basque Country and the wild beauty of Iceland: this year, six videos will bring selected Edelweiss vacation destinations to life.

The videos were produced by Ferris Bühler Communications in collaboration with its external partner Light&Magic. The agency has been actively supporting the airline in marketing its vacation destinations for over ten years and has been producing videos for several years.

Colombia to immerse yourself in

Two videos about Bogotá and Cartagena, Edelweiss' two new vacation destinations, were recently published. On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, an Edelweiss Airbus A340 will take off for Bogotá and Cartagena for the first time. The moving images are intended to serve as a source of inspiration for holiday-hungry Swiss travelers and give them a first impression of what to expect in Colombia. "Moving images open up particularly exciting possibilities for the highly emotional topic of travel," says Céline Schleich, the responsible project manager at Ferris Bühler Communications.

Long-standing partners in destination marketing

The video content is produced on the media trips organized by Ferris Bühler Communications on behalf of Edelweiss. The agency is responsible for organizing the group media trips as well as supporting the journalists and the content team on site. "The videos should convey the lifestyle of the respective Edelweiss destination: emotional, authentic, fresh and personal," explains project manager Céline Schleich.

The six new videos are currently available in the Inspiration Hub on the Website from Edelweiss and on their Youtube-Channel to see. The videos, as well as shorter snippets, are fed into the Edelweiss Content Hub so that they can be used for marketing measures throughout the Edelweiss network.

From December 2023, the destination films will also be included in the airline's in-flight entertainment.
