Dachcom implements "Forest Diversity" awareness campaign for the FOEN
On behalf of the Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU), Dachcom carried out the «Forest Diversity» campaign. Launched as part of International Biodiversity Day on May 22, the campaign aims to raise awareness of the value of Switzerland’s diverse forests.

Why does Switzerland need healthy, diverse forests? Which plants, animals and fungi find a home in them? And how have their populations developed over the past decades? The FOEN's national "Forest Diversity" campaign provides answers to these and other questions.
Between web and forest
For "Forest Diversity," Dachcom developed a trilingual cross-media campaign. The focus is on the achievements of the Swiss forests and the actual heroes, the "forest dwellers. These are specially staged: In the form of figures made of Swiss wood, they populate forests all over Switzerland. Young and old are invited to find them on a forest discovery tour.
In the associated competition, biodiversity memos and other attractive prizes can be won every month. Background information on the individual animals, plants and fungi can be found on the campaign website at Forest-diversity.ch, Diversité-forestière.ch and Diversità-forestale.ch. It also presents what Swiss forests do for the general public.
Commercials on Swiss television
To bring the campaign closer to the public, Dachcom also implemented various moving image productions. In three national languages, individual "forest dwellers" present their contributions to the diverse life in the forest. The videos and short spots can be seen on the web, on television, and also on passengerTV on public transport. In addition, there is a social media campaign that calls on the entire population to show the most beautiful sides of their forest.
The "Forest Diversity" campaign was launched as part of International Biodiversity Day on May 22. The focus is on the lives of individual "forest dwellers" and their services to biodiversity.
