Comparis.ch launches Campfire, an interactive comedy web series
The agency Campfire created an interactive branded entertainment campaign for Comparis.ch with "The incomparable story of Mr. Vogel". The four-part comedy web series follows the charmingly naïve Mr. Vogel, who blunders from one misfortune to the next with an incredible amount of bad luck.
90 percent of Swiss people know the Comparis.ch brand. This makes Comparis.ch one of the strongest brands in Switzerland. This strong position is due in particular to the health insurance comparison and the real estate market. However, many other services are less well known. A new branded entertainment campaign is therefore intended to raise awareness of Comparis' wide-ranging portfolio of services. The campaign, an interactive video web series about the everyday adventures of Mr. Vogel, presents the range of services offered by Comparis.ch in a humorous way and entertains viewers.
In collaboration with Rise and Shine Films from Bern, Campfire is producing four episodes of the comedy web series for Comparis.ch, from which twelve micro-advertising clips will be extracted to promote a wide range of services as part of a year-round media plan. The full potential of interactivity on YouTube will be utilized. For example, viewers can decide for themselves how the first episode should end. In further episodes, the audience will even be able to vote on the fate of the protagonist and the further plot by means of video voting.
"Mr. Vogel is branded entertainment and interactive digital storytelling. It was important to us to first create content that people actively consume on their own. The web series with the anti-hero Mr. Vogel reaches its audience emotionally. The comparis.ch brand is integrated into the plot of the story in such a way that it does not diminish the entertainment value, but rather subtly conveys the advantages of comparis offers," explains Dirk Unger, co-founder and art director of the digital creative agency Campfire.
