With Battery-Mania, Polyconsult has implemented a large battery collection point hunt based on an app in collaboration with Approppos. The activity is promoted on TV, online and on social media channels.

Inobat (Batterie-Recycling-Schweiz) is raising awareness of battery recycling among young people in Switzerland this spring: the game app Battery-Mania shows players where collection points are located in their area.

Every year in Switzerland, 30 million used batteries and rechargeable batteries end up in the trash instead of at the collection point. This is despite the fact that there are over 11,000 collection points throughout the country and batteries can be returned anywhere they can be purchased. "Unfortunately, many people don't know that, says Karin Jordi, managing director of Inobat.

This is now over: Since the end of March, "Battery-Mania" has been underway and Switzerland is going on the biggest collection point hunt of all time - naturally under the expert guidance of the best-known recycler in the country: Battery-Man.

"Battery-Mania" shows all Swiss people in a playful way how many collection points are in their immediate vicinity. The game app was designed by Polyconsult and programmed by Approppos.

Those who have downloaded it can immediately start the hunt - mark collection points, win great prizes and support the Gorilla youth program at the same time. Gorilla receives one franc from Battery-Man for every new collection point marked.

The campaign is being promoted with low-budget commercials and various online measures, but above all via a broad-based Facebook campaign. Since the end of March, "Battery-Mania" has already been downloaded over 8000 times. And in the Gorilla-Kasslein it has already jingled over 3000 times. "Battery-Mania" will run until the end of May.
