Allianz and Sir Mary realize Gondola Cinema on the Stanserhorn
Extraordinary times need extraordinary solutions: Allianz and Sir Mary are launching the Gondola Cinema on the Stanserhorn as the first in a series of exceptional cinema events. With this, the insurance company wants to continue its annual cinema engagement in a Corona-compliant way.
Watching a blockbuster from a gondola at an altitude of 1350 meters - Allianz made this experience possible for six winners in October. The friends enjoyed the breathtaking view of Lake Lucerne and the Alps from a convertible gondola on the Stanserhorn cable car. The action film "Cold Pursuit" was shown on a screen attached to the second gondola. The Zurich agency Sir Mary was responsible for the adventurous open-air cinema.
After the Allianz Cinema am Zürisee and the Allianz Cinema Day had to be cancelled this year due to Corona, the insurance company and Sir Mary came up with new ideas. The Gondola Cinema marks the beginning of a series of events for which only tickets can be won.
Lucky winners
In the conception of the unconventional cinema, Allianz and Sir Mary stuck to the in-house motto "Courage means making". More than 4,000 people took part in the draw for the tickets on Blick.ch. The winner was Walti Göldi and five of his friends. The evening was documented and prepared in the style of an action trailer for the social channels.
Commitment to Swiss cinema
As an alternative to Allianz Cinema and Allianz Cinema Day, Allianz already organized the drive-in cinema "Allianz Drive-in Cinema" in the summer. As part of the second "Cinema on Tour" event series, a winter forest cinema is next on the agenda. Another event is to follow in early 2021.
