Uber is cutting jobs in Switzerland - including in marketing

The taxi service Uber is streamlining its operations in Switzerland and relocating jobs to Paris. Instead of the slightly more than twenty people who previously worked there, the Uber offices in Zurich and Geneva now employ just over a dozen employees.

Uber confirms the order of magnitude to the Handelszeitung and announced via a spokesperson: "Our organizational structure continues to evolve as our business grows and progresses across Europe". The transfer of functions to Paris began at the beginning of the year and has now been completed. In particular, scalable services such as marketing and other operational functions are now based in the French capital, where Uber has a larger hub. The company continues to offer driver consultation services from Switzerland, for example, which prospective and existing Uber drivers can take advantage of.
