Tamedia new partner of Digitalswitzerland
Tamedia is now a new partner of the Digitalswitzerland initiative. The initiative was founded a year ago by Ringier, Google, Migros, SBB, Swiss, Swisscom, and other partners, and aims to position Switzerland as a driver of innovation and an attractive location for companies in the digital sector.

Tamedia supports the initiative, which has already launched projects such as a start-up accelerator or a continuing education platform, financially and wants to contribute its know-how, according to a release on Thursday. With platforms such as jobs.ch, homegate.ch, ricardo.ch and tutti.ch, as well as digital publishing services such as 20min.ch, lematin.ch and tagesanzeiger.ch, Tamedia is the digital media group with the highest reach and revenues in Switzerland, reaching four out of five Swiss people digitally.
Christoph Tonini, CEO of Tamedia: "Digitalswitzerland is an excellent initiative that has already achieved a lot in a short time. Now that the project, originally launched as DigitalZurich2025, has been expanded to cover the whole of Switzerland, it is the right time for us as a media group operating throughout Switzerland to actively support the initiative. We are looking forward to this, because the best framework conditions for digital companies are also a major concern for me personally."
Nicolas Bürer, Managing Director of Digitalswitzerland: "We are delighted to have Tamedia on board as another important partner who will be actively involved in Digitalswitzerland. The enormous know-how that our members bring together and Tamedia further complements brings us a big step closer to our goal of positioning Switzerland as a leading digital location."
