Sphair and Ingo Sum Up Aviation Careers for Gen Z

Sphair, the platform for promoting young talent in military and civil aviation, has redesigned its website in collaboration with the Ingo agency. The result: a modern, user-centered design that meets the expectations of Generation Z and allows them to interactively immerse themselves in the world of aviation.

Sphair recruits young talent for the aviation industry on behalf of the federal government. The redesigned website plays a central role in this process, serving as a bridge from the initial contact through to registration for pilot internships and skydiving courses. Previously, the old website—with its outdated design and text-heavy content—was no longer attractive enough for its very young target audience.

The redesign, developed in close collaboration with Ingo, aims to foster greater authenticity, transparency, and user-centricity. Extensive target audience testing and workshops have shown that Gen Z and Gen Alpha respond to content that is emotional and direct—shaped by social media and video content. The new design is bold, minimalist, and focuses on real people and their experiences in aviation.

To optimize the user experience, an interactive roadmap was developed for each profession that clearly illustrates the entire career path through to the completion of training. The digital design system is based on the «Atomic Design» principle, which enables flexible and scalable components.

One of the highlights of the new website is the «Ask The Pro» video interview series, in which aviation professionals answer questions about their experiences. The content speaks to the target audience on their level and offers authentic insights into the industry. The new website has been live since March 2024 and invites young talent to discover their future in aviation.

The website has been live since March 1, 2024. Other partners were responsible for the login area and the technical implementation.
