The Social Media Summit 2025 has impressively confirmed its position as the largest social media marketing conference in Switzerland. 850 participants from all over Switzerland transformed the picturesque mountain village of Engelberg into the epicenter of the social media world.

Experts from Meta, TikTok and YouTube

Experts from the most important social media platforms gave exclusive insights into their latest functions and visions for the future. Representatives from Meta, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest presented the latest algorithm updates and best practices. Swiss companies such as Switzerland tourismRaiffeisen and Betty Bossi showed successful practical examples from the local market.

"The eighth edition has once again shown how important personal exchange is in our digital industry," says Tanja Herrmann, founder and managing director of the Social Media Summit. "The energy and enthusiasm of the participants, combined with the expertise of our speakers, made Engelberg an inspiring place for social media marketing for two days."

Masterclasses, panels and networking

The first day was dedicated to masterclasses and panels. Participants deepened their knowledge in interactive sessions on topics such as the use of AI, storytelling, communication with authorities on social media and performance marketing. The event concluded with the legendary Gin Night with a view of the mountains.

The second day featured a varied keynote program on three stages, which was rounded off with a Fireside Chat with Carsta Maria Müller from Baby Got Business. In their extremely entertaining and critical discussion, they reviewed the trends once again, bringing two days of best practices and inspiration on social media to a close.

Premiere: "What The Fake?" exhibition

In addition to the professional content, the Social Media Summit offered numerous opportunities for personal exchange at the Gin Night or the "Fondue Night with Strangers" in the oldest restaurant in the mountain village.

The interactive exhibition "What The Fake?" complemented the conference program for the first time. The installation developed by the Conscious Influence Hub made it impressively clear how difficult it has become to distinguish authentic images from AI-generated fakes.

Thanks to its overwhelming success, Switzerland's largest social media marketing conference is already entering its ninth edition on November 4 and 5, 2026. Further information will follow shortly on www.social-media-summit.ch.

The Social Media Summit is the largest conference for social media marketing in Switzerland. The conference celebrated its premiere in Zurich in 2017 under the name WebStage Masters. Since then, the event has grown steadily: two days, over 50 speakers and 850 visitors. The Social Media Summit is organized by the Zurich-based influencer and social media marketing agency House of Influence. They have also been the organizer of the AI in Marketing Conference in Zurich since 2025.
