The European PayTech company Nexi Group has completed the transaction for the remaining shares in the German payment service provider Computop. The company will continue to operate independently within the Nexi Group.

The acquisition underlines Nexi's strategic focus on Germany and the DACH region as a core market and e-commerce as a key growth driver. Computop's market presence, long-standing merchant relationships and e-commerce and omnichannel payment solutions fit Nexi's vision of enabling simple and secure payments across all channels and regions.

"Following an increasingly close collaboration, we will accelerate the realization of Computop's potential with its strong omnichannel offering - in Germany, the entire DACH region and beyond by expanding into relevant markets with the help of Nexi's presence in more than 25 countries in Europe," says Thomas Spreitzer, CEO Nexi DACH.
